Set-up in 2018 by designer-maker Stefan Mucha, Klocks is an artisan home studio-workshop based in Uckfield, East Sussex specialising in the design and handcrafting of a unique range of one-off, contemporary wood veneer, and mixed media marquetry art-timepieces.

Combining high-tech CNC machining with traditional hand-cut marquetry; featuring natural and striking engineered wood veneers together with mixed-media abstracts, each Klock art-timepiece is designed with a minimalist aesthetic and is meticulously hand-finished and comes with a luxury presentation box. Stefan, alongside partner Amanda Lewis-Clements, has exhibited an expanding range of graphic artworks inspired by the local Sussex coastline and Downs under the banner of Sussex Art Prints.
Stefan was trained in marketing communications and design for print and was a creative director in marketing and advertising design agencies for more than 30 years creating award-winning advertising campaigns for a number of blue-chip multi-national technology leaders. Having transitioned out from the advertising world, more recently Stefan has been creating contemporary handcrafted marquetry pieces using natural and striking engineered wood veneers together with mixed-media abstracts.
In 2005 Stefan Mucha, who has Polish ancestry, was a co-founder of award-winning Polish history publisher Aquila Polonica. For his work with the team that created the Polish Armed Forces Memorial at the National Arboretum, Staffordshire, Stefan was awarded the Gold Medal of the Polish Army on 1 December 2010, Further, on 9 December 2011, Stefan was awarded the Medal Pro Memoria by Minister of War Veterans and Victims of Oppression Dr. Jan Stanisław Ciechanowski of the Government of the Republic of Poland.
